The Honda CB750 Four was perhaps the most important motorbike in history. Its arrival in 1968 definitively revolutionised the history of motorcycling: the first mass-produced four-cylinder, it combined reliability, aesthetic beauty, performance and usability like no motorbike before. Solutions that had previously only been seen on a few competition bikes and a few prototypes, such as the horizontal-section crankcase fused with the transmission and the chain-driven overhead camshaft, were marketed to the general public.
The K2 version was one of the most commercially successful series of the CB750. Upgraded in many respects from the previous series, it was quieter and better finished. This 1972 example was registered in 1973 in Rome. It still retains its original number plate but is without its registration certificate, which was lost by the depositor. The bike is complete in many details but we would point out that the exhausts and saddle have been replaced over the years. The bike does not have a blocked engine and largely retains its original paintwork. An interesting restoration project for any enthusiast, this Honda CB750 Four still has an interesting life ahead of it.
