Ducati 851 Strada tricolor monoposto from 1988, only 300 units built with only 2398 kms since new !!

The 851 was officially presented at the Milan Motor Show in 1987 and inaugurated a brand new engine : the Desmoquattro. This pantah derivative uses four valves per cylinder and abandons air cooling in favour of liquid cooling and is grafted with a Weber electronic fuel injection system that produces 105 horsepower. As usual, braking is entrusted to Brembo and the suspensions come from the famous Marzocchi.
For its homologation in the Superbike championship, Ducati built five hundred motorcycles in 1988, two hundred 851 Pista and three hundred 851 Strada approved on the road, both series were proudly flanked by the colours of the transalpine nation.
Our exemplaire N°1850159 was delivered to its sole owner on July 6 1988 near Torino and has covered the incredible mileage of 2398 kilometers since then, never repainted, never fallen this timeless sculpture with an almost perfect aesthetic will perfectly harmonize in your garage next to a Cavallino Rampante of Modena or a Taurus of Bologna or in your kitchen in front of the macchina à caffé. La 851 est présentée officiellement au salon de Milan de 1987 et inaugure un tout nouveau moteur : le Desmoquattro. Ce dérivé du pantah utilise quatre soupapes par cylindre et abandonne le refroidissement par air au profit d'un refroidissement liquide et se voit greffé d'une alimentation de carburant par injection électronique Weber qui permet d obtenir 105 chevaux. Comme habituellement le freinage est confié à Brembo et les suspensions proviennent du célèbre Marzocchi
Pour son homologation en championnat de Superbike, Ducati a construit en 1988 cinq cent motos donc deux cent 851 Pista et trois cent 851 Strada homologuées sur route, les deux séries étaient fièrement flanquées des couleurs de la nation transalpine.
