Jewelled engraved gilt 3/4 plate English lever movement, cut and compensated bi-metallic balance, diamond end stone, white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, black outer minute divisions with quarter markers, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary dial at 6 for running seconds, polished case with gold cuvette, personal engraving to cuvette reads 'William Clarke A.D.1894 Class A Kew Certificate 71.0 MARKS N.5527', together with Class A Kew Observation certificate dated 15th December 1894, case stamped 'PW'
