Für viele Besucher und Motorsportjournalisten, war er der Superstar auf der 37. Automobilausstellung in Frankfurt. Im September 1955 feierte BMW mit allen Messebesuchern die Premiere des neuen BMW 507 Touring Sportwagen.

Das hinreißend schöne Design von Albrecht Graf Goertz begeistert von damals, seit Vorstellung, bis heute Automobilliebhaber auf der ganzen Welt.

Mit nur 252 gebauten Exemplaren, ist der BMW 507 heute eine automobile Rarität. Alain Delon, John Surtees, Ursula Andress, Toni Sailer und auch Elvis Presley gehörten zu den Käufern.

Das hier gezeigte Fahrzeug wurde am 07.06.1958 an den Importeur Cia Importadora in Havanna, Kuba in Altelfenbein ausgeliefert. In den 1980er Jahren kam der Wagen dann nach Deutschland. Hier wurde er von 1988 bis 1993 in Süddeutschland im Auftrag des aktuellen Eigentümers umfangreich restauriert.

Über die Jahre nahm der Wagen stets zuverlässig an zahlreichen Rallyes in Europa teil. Im Jahr 2010 wurde eine Motorrevision bei der Firma Brummer durchgeführt. Der 507 fährt sich sehr sportlich und bereitet große Fahrfreude.

Zum Lieferumfang gehört auch noch ein Hardtop und der originale Motorblock. Das Fahrzeug ist somit Matching Numbers.

For many visitors and motorsport journalists, it was the superstar at the 37th Frankfurt Motor Show. In September 1955, BMW celebrated the premiere of the new BMW 507 Touring sports car with all the visitors to the show.

The ravishingly beautiful design by Albrecht Graf Goertz has been inspiring car enthusiasts all over the world from the day it was unveiled until today.

With only 252 examples built, the BMW 507 is an automotive rarity today. Alain Delon, John Surtees, Ursula Andress, Toni Sailer and even Elvis Presley were among the buyers.

The vehicle shown here was delivered to the importer Cia Importadora in Havana, Cuba in old ivory on June 7, 1958. The car then came to Germany in the 1980s. Here it was extensively restored from 1988 to 1993 in southern Germany on behalf of the current owner.

Over the years, the car has always reliably participated in numerous rallies in Europe. In 2010, an engine overhaul was carried out by the well known company Brummer. The 507 drives very sportily and is a great pleasure to drive.

The scope of delivery also includes a hardtop and the original engine block. The vehicle is therefore matching numbers.
