Description

Barely a decade after the end of the war, Alfa Romeo decided to make something that would revive the glories of pre-war production, producing cars that were nippy and manoeuvrable. In this atmosphere, the Giulietta was designed in two versions, saloon and coupé. Due to some problems at the plant, the car manufacturer was forced to produce only the coupé model first, called Sprint. Thus the first model bearing the name Giulietta was born. The Giulietta Sprint was presented as a prototype in 1954 and immediately put into production. The success it had exceeded all expectations thanks also to the engine, designed under the direction of engineer Busso, had very high technical characteristics for the time. The rear-wheel drive and double overhead camshaft made the car snappy.

The aggressive yet elegant lines and Riviera blue colour of this extraordinary car captivated at first glance. Its original grey cloth and blue leatherette interior make it a marvellous specimen worthy of competing and winning in the best concours d'elegance. This car owes its palmares not only to the impeccable restoration it has undergone but also, and above all, to its rarity, since it is one of the very few Giulietta Sprint first series cars still in circulation and in stunning condition.

The car is duly registered with the ASI register, has the FIVA IDENTITY CARD for regularity races and is Mille Miglia eligible. It also has various extracts from the Alfa Romeo Historic Register certifying its absolute originality. It has already participated in two Mille Miglias after 2000 and is perfectly prepared to go through more. It has lost its historical black plates after being sold abroad, now re-registered Italian with new European plates can apply for historical black plates at any ACI agency or through ASI clubs, there are also copies of the historical page booklet.
