THE CAR IN AUCTION:
The 1956 Bentley S1 Cabriolet 4-door is a classic and luxury car belonging to Bentley's S1 series, a range of prestigious sedans and convertibles produced between 1955 and 1959.

The Bentley S1 was powered by a 4.9- liter six-cylinder petrol engine, linked to a manual or automatic transmission.
This engine provided enough power and torque for smooth-delivered performance.

Although the main emphasis of the S1 was on luxury and comfort, the car could handle high speeds with eease, despite its size and weight.
The S1 Cabriolet had an open roof, making it a classic convertible of choice for high-end cars of the era.

The four doors made it easy to give passengers access to both the front and rear seats.
The interior of the Bentley S1 was luxurious and tailor-made, with high-quality materials, wooden trim, leather upholstery and comfortable seats.

It could seat four to five passengers depending on the configuration.
Before then, the Bentley S1 offered standard safety features such as disc brakes alongside advanced technology features for the period such as air conditioning and advanced audio systems.

Bentley was known for its craftsmanship and customization.
Each Bentley S1 was largely hand-built, making each car unique and meeting the owner's specific wishes.

The 1956 Bentley S1 Cabriolet 4-door was a symbol of luxury and elegance, and these classic cars still hold a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts and collectors.
They represent an era of craftsmanship and attention to detail in automotive manufacturing with no equivalent.

This rare left-hand-drive Bentley is equipped with an electric convertible roof and electric windows.
It is in a very good condition. The car was painted in 2015.
There is 1 scratch in the paint and a chrome strip that needs to be repaired.
The interior is in good condition with its original leather upholstery from 1956.
With that said, there are some imperfections such as the woodwork, for example.
Technically, the Bentley is in good condition and it drives well.
The engine was overhauled at Mirbach Bayern for €17k a few years ago.
It received a full inspection including historic license plate. An original power steering unit was installed, also tinted glass. The hood was converted to electric operation, as well as the 4 window lifters.
