Our example is a 450 SL in North American configuration, from 1973. It has the advantage of still having the desirable small bumpers, far more elegant than the massive American bumpers that would be imposed in the rest of the car's American career. Its engine develops 240 horsepower and the combination with the three-speed automatic gearbox makes this an ideal car for cruising by the sea or for a night out. In excellent condition and running perfectly, our example proves Mercedes Benz's reputation for reliability. Always well maintained, a complete overhaul was carried out in recent months, during which the shock absorbers were replaced, and the rims were shod with new Michelin XWX.
