Der Aston Martin DB2/4 gilt als direkter Nachfolger des Aston Martin DB2. Ein maßgeblicher Unterschied zwischen DB2 und DB2/4 sind die beiden verbauten Notsitze, die im DB2/4 verbaut wurden. Außerdem verfügte der DB2/4 über eine große Panoramawindschutzscheibe, größere Stoßfänger und versetzte Scheinwerfer. Der DB2/4 wurde von 1953 – 1959 produziert. Während dieser 6 Produktionsjahr erschienen insgesamt 3 Versionen des DB2/4: Mark I, Mark II und Mark III.
Der hier zum Verkauf stehende DB2/4 Mark I wurde am 24.11.1954 in der derzeitigen Farbkombination nach London erstausgeliefert. Im Jahr 2012 wurde der Wagen von Thomas Weber, einem renommierten Restaurator für Aston Martin DB-Modelle, erworben und originalgetreu bis ins Detail perfekt wieder hergestellt. Die Qualität der Restauration ist hervorragend und verhilft dem Fahrzeug zu einer optisch einwandfreien Erscheinung. Auch die Beschaffenheit der Lackierung und der Innenausstattung sind beeindruckend. Geradezu imponierend ist die Präzision der am Fahrzeug durchgeführten Arbeiten, und das nicht nur für Kenneraugen. Die Arbeitsstunden und das Kapital, das in die Restauration dieses Aston Martin DB2/4 geflossen ist, überzeugen im fertigen Ergebnis. The Aston Martin DB2/4 is considered the direct successor to the Aston Martin DB2. A significant difference between the DB2 and DB2/4 are the two emergency seats that were fitted in the DB2/4.
