Description
- Part of The Aurora Collection
- Finished in Rosso Corsa over a black leather interior
- Powered by a 3.6-litre V-8 engine delivering 400 horsepower, with a limited top speed of 282 km/h
- Used sparingly since being acquired in 2010; odometer reads only 12,782 kilometres
First revealed in 2000, the 360 Spider shared the underpinnings of its closed 360 Modena sister model, with both cars sharing the Tipo 131 Ferrari platform built around a rear-mid-engine 3.6-litre V-8 powerplant. The 360 Spider was the 20th road-going convertible to wear the Prancing Horse badge, yet its dynamic attributes differentiated it from the many famous open-topped Ferraris that had come before. Most notably, the 360 Spider offered near-identical performance to its coupé counterpart, ensuring that buyers no longer had to sacrifice top-end speed in exchange for the thrill of open-air motoring.
The example offered here left Maranello finished in Rosso Corsa over a black leather interior. The Ferrari joined The Aurora Collection in 2010, having been supplied via Autoropa, the official Ferrari dealer in Arlöv, Sweden. Since then, the car has been used sparingly, showing only 12,782 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing.
As easy on the eye as it is thrilling to drive, this open, rear-mid-engined, naturally aspirated Ferrari would make a spectacular addition to any collection.
