The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is hailed as 'Britain's First Supercar' in its day. This version is the extra powerful version of the 'normal' V8. Due to sharper camshafts, higher compression ratio, larger intake valves and larger carburetors mounted on new manifolds, it even beats the Ferrari Daytona in a straight line.
This Vantage is registered in 1980, making it a second series, with the integrated rear spoiler and a somewhat more subtle elevation in the bonnet. Under the hood a 390 hp V8 that is linked to an automatic transmission. The sporty but also very luxurious 'Grand Tourer' is an exclusive appearance because just over 300 units of the fast Vantage were built.
The Vantage you see here comes with a Heritage Trust Certificate, which shows that the car left the factory in February 1980. The Aston Martin left for its first Belgian owner with an electrically operated sunroof, Weber carburetors, two removable headrests and a right wing mirror. The car has been completely restored with no cost at all. The entire car is in a formidable condition.

The bodywork is exceptionally beautiful. The paintwork is in a beautiful condition. Damage and irregularities are foreign to the bodywork, fits are perfect and all parts close properly. The chrome work, the aluminum frames, lighting parts, wheels and tires are all beautiful. Needless to say, but we'll do it anyway: on the bridge you can see that the car is just as beautiful from below as from above.

The interior of the car is eye-catching. Beautiful cognac colored leather of great quality and the controls, wood finish and instruments all match.
This is what it must have been like to have sat in this car almost 45 years ago when it was new.

Under the bonnet it's no different: 'new' is the first thing that comes to mind when we open the long, fairly black bonnet forward to view the magnificent V8. Again, no flaws, damage or visible wear, everything simply looks perfect and 'like new'. During the restoration, the engine was of course technically equalized to the external condition, where only the very best was good enough. The technology is in excellent condition.

The V8 Vantage drives great. The engine picks up smoothly and beautifully to treat the driver and other occupants to a massive 550Nm of torque, ensuring fabulous acceleration and a massive top speed of 270km/h. The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and at the right times. Matters such as the chassis and brakes are also in a condition that cannot be faulted. The steering feels direct and accurate.

In addition to the Heritage Trust Certificate, the car also comes with the original maintenance booklet and numerous other documents. This Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of the best copies on the market.
