The 400 was Enzo Ferrari's personal car for many years. Its luxury, comfort and versatility combined with the ingredients of what makes a Ferrari exceptional, its V12 engine, makes it a special car in the history of the prancing horse. Being a long distance car, the 400 automatic proves to be smooth to drive and is the ideal mount for a week's vacation, or commuting in vintage style.
Our example was first put on the road on March 6, 1983 in Italy and then imported by Charles Pozzi in France in 1986 and today totals 28,426 reliable kilometers, with a complete history mainly within the Ferrari network, along with its service books and tool kit. The car shows no signs of accident, has an up to date technical control and is registered in France, available at our premises in Valence. Duplicate keys, Histovec and carvertical gears available and favorable.

ENGINE AND GEARBOX
The traditional engine architecture, a 12-cylinder V-twin, is present on the 400. This engine with 4 overhead camshafts and electronic injection has a total of 4823 cm3 and develops 315 horsepower. Thanks to the presence of electronic injection, the engine starts without any problem and stabilizes quickly; it expresses its full potential once on the road with a rise in speed without any power dip. The automatic gearbox is very useful for this car, which is not intended for sporty driving. It offers smooth shifting, while the torquey engine offers wide operating ranges. The complete maintenance history of the car, partly within the Ferrari network, is reassuring and allows the mechanical parts to show no operating problems. The last maintenance was carried out in July 2022 in the garage specialized in Italian mechanics AB-Racing for an amount of more than 5800 euros and includes a repair of the K-Jetronic distributors, replacement of the injectors, restoration of the ignition, filters, fluids...

EXTERIOR
The period at the dawn of the 80s rhymes with square lines, a break with the brand's previous productions. Gone are the traditional round headlights, the lines are modern. And the retractable headlights are generalized. Pininfarina, Ferrari's historic styling house, is responsible for the very characteristic lines of the 400, with Leonardo Fioravanti as the main designer. The original Blu sera paint is in perfect condition, with a very good depth and shine. There is no rust on the bodywork, wheel arches or underbody. Finally, our example also benefits from an optional vent on the wider hood.

INTERIOR
The comfortable crema-colored leather seats are in very good condition despite a few stains on the rear seats.
The instrumentation works very well except for the clock and the black plastics have no major defects, having aged well. The carpets are also very thick and
thickness and are well preserved. In the back of this real 4-seater, the space is decent and allows two adults to travel in comfort, with even rear air conditioning! Many comfort elements are present on the car, like the bi-zone air conditioning, the radio...

CONSUMABLES
The Michelin radial X tires (size 240/55 VR 415 front and rear) are in good condition and show no signs of advanced wear, as are the brakes.
