Icone populaire et véritable monument historique attaché à l’histoire de France, la voiture qui illustre ces pages est une des toutes dernières 2 CV Charleston Rouge Delage (AC446) et noir (AC200) de 1990 ne comptabilisant que 14 106 km au compteur !
Comme neuve, la voiture a conservé tous ses marquages et stickers appliqués à l’usine, comme à l’origine. Mécaniquement, son fonctionnement est irréprochable, même les pneus sont bien ceux d’origine, attestant un peu plus encore du faible kilométrage de ce véhicule.
Son seul et unique propriétaire, un architecte réputé vivant à Maastricht, du utiliser un subterfuge pour acquérir le véhicule tant désiré. En effet, le concessionnaire Citroën Geebelen à Maasmechelen en Belgique ne souhaitait pas vendre sa dernière 2CV neuve aux Pays-Bas ! Il décida alors de faire appel à un ami habitant à Lanaken (Belgique) pour acheter sa 2CV avant de pouvoir l’importer en Hollande. Selon la facture originale, datée du 25 août 1990, le prix de vente à l'époque était de 224.000 francs belges.
Cette 2CV Charleston prit place dans une belle collection aux côtés – entre autres - d’une 2CV Sahara et d’une seconde 2CV jamais utilisée. En 1998, elle ne comptabilisait que 113 Km au compteur, comme en atteste le document du fichier historique néerlandais « Nationale Autopass » joint au dossier bien sûr.
En tant que passionné de Citroën 2CV et conducteur de 2CV depuis les années 1950, cette Charleston a été soigneusement entretenue et traitée antirouille depuis sa mise en circulation.

A popular icon and a true historical monument attached to the history of France, the car illustrating these pages is one of the very last 2 CV Charleston Red Delage (AC446) and black (AC200) of 1990 with only 14 106 km on the odometer!
As new, the car has retained all its factory markings and stickers, as in the original. Mechanically, the car is in perfect working order, even the tyres are original, which further attests to the low mileage of this vehicle.
Its one and only owner, a well-known architect living in Maastricht, had to use a subterfuge to acquire the much desired vehicle. The Citroën dealer Geebelen in Maasmechelen, Belgium, did not want to sell his last new 2CV in the Netherlands! He decided to call on a friend in Lanaken (Belgium) to buy his 2CV before he could import it into Holland. According to the original invoice, dated 25 August 1990, the selling price at that time was 224,000 Belgian francs.
This 2CV Charleston became part of a fine collection alongside - among others - a 2CV Sahara and a second 2CV that was never used. In 1998 it had only 113 km on the clock, as the document from the Dutch history file "Nationale Autopass" attached to the file shows.
As a Citroën 2CV enthusiast and 2CV driver since the 1950s, this Charleston has been carefully maintained and rustproofed since it was first driven.
