Description

- In a handsome colour combination of Olive Green over Tan leather, matching the exterior of Bond’s famous On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS
- Over £2oo,ooo spent to restore and upgrade the car to be the ultimate example of a DBS
- A storied example with an extensive folder of history, and some racing pedigree

Produced from September 1967 to April 1972 only 803 examples of the DBS were produced which, some may be surprised to learn, makes the DBS a rarer car than the DB5. The build sheet of this example indicates that it was built in early 1970 and specified in right hand drive with a manual ZF gearbox. This makes this car just one of only 317 right hand drive cars that were equipped with the manual five speed ZF gearbox.

First registered to a Mr N Ermini of Hemel Hempstead in1970, along with the factory manual gearbox, it was specified in a very period distinctive colour combination of Roman Purple over Scarlet Connolly leather. In its early life, this DBS even enjoyed some racing action finishing 3rd at a J.D.C. event in Donnington in 1977 and in the same year finishing 2nd at Brands Hatch.

Under the ownership of Mr J Ashfield this car underwent significant restoration work back in the 1990’s. Mr Ashfield cherished the car for nearly 20yrs keeping a meticulous folder of all service history, invoices and notes relating to this DBS which can still be found in the current history file. The car was then purchased by the current owner who embarked on a dream of creating the ‘ultimate’ DBS. In 2013 the owner entrusted RS Williams to restore and upgrade the car, with no expense spared, the subsequent work costed over £215,000 with the full invoice and details of all work carried out in this overhaul present in the car’s file.

Upon completion of this major overhaul the mileage read 15,684, at time of sale now, the current mileage is 19,919, meaning only 4,235miles have been completed since its restoration. In its current state, this DBS Vantage featuring triple Webers is finished in Olive Green with beige leather and featuring amongst many other upgrades, our superb RSW 4.7Litre engine.

This DBS is one of the finest examples you will find available on the market. In a stunning condition, this example provides a fantastic prospect for someone looking for a classic DBS ready to drive away and enjoy.
