The last and most luxurious model from the Silver Cloud series with the double headlights taken over from Phantom models from the same period and the even more powerful V8 engine.
This series 3 model was delivered by the company Jack Barclay Ltd on 6 December 1962 to the first owner Mr. Kenneth Ives in Leeds. The current owner bought it in 1991 and the car underwent a thorough restoration, it was registered in the Netherlands on 16 June 1993. After owning the car for 30 years, the current owner is having to say goodbye to it due to his age.
The Rolls still has its original matching engine, gearbox and cardan. The chassis number is SCX.101, the engine number SX.50.C and the gearbox has number T.64/3. Everything original from when it was delivered new in 1962!
The interior is beautiful with nice, shiny burl wood and a beautiful leather interior. The two front seats were recently reupholstered with new leather. Everything looks cared for. The engine starts immediately, it runs well and with power. The automatic 4-speed gearbox shifts fine without any additional noises.
The bodywork is very neat with some slight wear on the roof after all these years, the rest of the paintwork is in mint condition. The chrome is in very nice condition and the stainless steel grille with the large "Flying Lady" is undamaged. A copy of the logbook from 1962 on the construction of the car was sent by Rolls-Royce. The original manual has been preserved.
So in a nutshell: An excellent Silver Cloud looking for a new enthusiast after 59 years. This car is exempt from Dutch periodic vehicle inspections and road tax. The overall condition is between 2 and 3, it’s a neat car.
