EXTERIOR
Smooth, sleek and such a departure from the typical Audi range of the time, the first generation Audi R8 looks sensational and a much purer design than its replacement. This example is finished in Ice Silver with silver side blades and silver wheels. A glacially cool and elegant combination that suits the R8 aesthetic perfectly.

The paintwork of the car is in superb condition, with nothing other than a few minor stone chips to note. Subtly contrasting side blades also show free of any marks as do the beautifully smooth flanks of the car. The metal fuel filler is superbly crafted and also free from any marks or scratches.

INTERIOR
Following the typical Audi design DNA this interior of the R8 is comfortable, low slung and wrought from solid materials – build quality is clear with everything working as it should and no excessive wear to report anywhere. Black nappa leather covers the dash, doors and seats remains soft and presents damage free whilst the gated stainless steel manual gear lever creates some balance amongst the dark shades to become the focal point of the interior and once on the move and incredibly satisfying change and bolt like action.

Audi had ‘ease of use’ in mind when designing the R8 so it has excellent sight-lines front and rear. Along side this it also comes equipped with Bluetooth, satellite navigation plus, heated seats and parking sensors. This combination means the R8 is comfortable to manoeuvre and drive on a day to day basis, yet capable as a legitimate sports car and driving machine.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
It was amazing that Audi even considered a mid-engined supercar in the first place, but even more amazing that the conceptual design, with the engine on full display under a glass cover, made it to production. Indeed this must be one of the best dressed engine bays in the segment – exposed for all to see, it presents beautifully.

Featuring a naturally aspirated V8 engine and a manual gearbox this R8 is a true drivers car, with open gated shifter providing a level engagement and control above and beyond its automatic counterpart.

Benefitting from Audi’s exceptional build quality and a full main dealer service history this R8 is mechanically in good order, wanting for nothing throughout its time on the road.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The handsome twin-bladed five spoke alloys are a wholesome 19 inch in diameter, enhancing the stance of the R8 perfectly. They present as new with no marks or scrapes.

The tyres are also in excellent condition, consisting of an almost new set of premium Continental Contisport Contacts. The brakes work as expected, strong and confident, hauling the car up with ease.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Bromley Audi on 19/09/07 this stunning R8 benefits from a great factory specification, including a 6-speed manual gearbox, mag-ride suspension and Audis navigation plus system. Meticulously maintained from new this example has a full Audi service history consisting of 8 stamps in the original service book at the following intervals;
