10 cars we’d bid on at Osenat’s Automobiles de Collection auction

If the words ‘pre-war’ and ‘patina’ grab your attention then Osenat’s auction in Fontainebleau on the 21st of June will be one to watch. Everything from Bugatti Type 35As to Amphicars will go under the hammer, so expect the unexpected!

Osenat is set to host the auction with perhaps the most vibrant mix of cars this year. Pre-war aficionados will have plenty to sink their wallets into with sumptuous coachwork appearing par for the course. A stunning 1937 Delahaye 135 M with Dubos bodywork represents an alluring French alternative to the Rolls-Royces of the era. Elsewhere, Grand Prix fans will surely be climbing over each other to bid on this patinated-to-perfection Bugatti Type 35A.

On the other hand, if the 50s and 60s are your automotive sweet spot then you will be equally well catered-for. This 190 SL represents a far more relaxed alternative to the world-beating Gullwings of the era, and the option to drop the top makes for an excellent summer cruiser. Otherwise, for the man who likes his automobile to do it all, the infamous Amphicar looks to be as serene on water as on terra firma.

Below are our 10 picks from Osenat’s Automobiles de Collection Auction
