Luigi Fagioli in his Mercedes W25 positions himself to take over Bernd Rosemeyer’s Auto Union after both had been hit by rocks on the Lasarte circuit of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Rosemeyer immediately went to the pits to fix a broken windscreen while Fagioli kept pushing on along with the rest of his Mercedes team.

Mercedes rocked the course and took the top three finishes.
