Description

Porsche’s Spyder legacy is legendary. The 550, RSK, RS60, and RS61 scored countless wins at the world’s most famous races, often beating much more powerful cars with their light weight, exceptional handling, and reliable power. The Boxster Spyder embodies this same lightweight ethos, and features include a lightweight top, nylon pull straps instead of interior door handles, a smaller steering wheel, stiffer suspension, front fascia from the Cayman GT4, quicker steering from the 911 Turbo, and brakes from the Carrera S.

This stunning and pristine example was specially ordered by a respected California-based Porsche collector in paint-to-sample Gulf Blue. It was also ordered without air-conditioning or radio to be as light as possible, and is believed to be the only paint-to-sample example specified as such. Other options include Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, and Pepita seat centers on full bucket seats, courtesy of Porsche’s custom-tailoring option. The Porsche also features deviated stitching, a leather interior in black with Alcantara, and wheels painted in platinum satin, among many other desirable options. Meticulously kept, the Porsche received an oil change at 29 miles and again at 47 miles.

This model is the last naturally aspirated Spyder–which, combined with its excellent specification, extremely low mileage, and desirable manual gearbox – makes this an extraordinary modern collectible worthy of close inspection.
