Description
"Introduced on 1st March 1993, the Impreza which, according to an article in ‘Motor Trend’, was initially to be called the Loyale, was offered in either front-wheel or all-wheel drive versions and as a four door saloon or five door hatchback. Subaru chose to continue their longstanding use of the boxer engine in the Impreza. According to Subaru, their configuration of the engine in-line with the transmission minimises body roll due to the lower centre of gravity compared with offset engines in most other vehicles.
This absolutely superb example is presented in the iconic and traditional colour of blue with its blue interior and it has only covered 38,500 miles from new. The car had a new cambelt kit installed by Triton Subaru in the last 2,500 miles and was also fitted with new tyres. It has been used sparingly by the present owner for the odd weekend away and is supported with an extensive service history and its current MoT test certificate expires in January 2020. With its desirable rally blue gold wheels combination, it remains eye catching. Engaging and is still tight and responsive to drive, it is as it should be. These are and indeed were one of the greatest rally cars ever made and the road going version such as this, pushing some 320bhp, is forever evocative and reminiscent of those Colin McRae days!"
