Description
The Vantage N24 was born out of a small Aston Martin Lagonda in house race programme, focused on competing in the legendary Nurburgring 24 hours at the iconic Nordschlieffe circuit, later becoming one of a new breed of race cars that formed the origins of the new GT4 racing category, designed to be a more accessible class of racing for the amateur driver. Heavily based upon the successful V8 Vantage road car, the first 14 N24s were built for private racers by Aston Martin Lagonda before production was transferred to AML’s racing partner, Aston Martin Racing, run by Prodrive, in Banbury UK and later being rebranded as the GT4, consistent with the new race category.
With a weight saving of 250kg (down to 1330kg), optimised mechanical and suspension configuration for competition use and the safety provided by a roll cage, the N24 is a highly engaging yet accessible purpose built race car, ideal for a driver transitioning into modern racing or those wishing to step up from track day activity.
The excellent example we are now pleased to offer was built in 2008 by Aston Martin Racing and previously owned and raced by an enthusiastic historic Aston Martin racing stalwart in the factory run British GT4 Challenge. The car was subsequently purchased by its last owner and campaigned again the British GT4 Challenge and AMOC race events. Specified with the driver friendly Sportshift gearbox, this car benefits from an engine rebuild to later 4.7 litre engine specifications which has had minimal running since installation. Now presented and supplied in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, with a fresh iconic livery, this N24 race car is now ready for use, either on track events or in suitable race series, such as the AMOC organised race events. Conversion for road use is possible following some modifications in order to complete an IVA process.
