Zu einer exklusiven rollenden 3D-Multimedia-Lounge mit großem Kino und viel Komfort verwandelte Brabus den Mercedes Viano. Im Brabus Viano iBusiness 3D kombinieren die Macher 3D-Entertainment-Technologie von Sony mit Apple Komponenten wie iPad, Mac Mini, iPhone und iPod Touch, die das komplette Multimedia-Equipment an Bord steuern. Highlight: ein riesiger Bildschirm, welcher ebenfalls als Trennwand zum Fahrerabteil fungiert. Bereits von außen macht der Brabus Viano iBusiness 3D eine extravagante Figur. Der Frontspoiler verleiht dem Gesicht des Vans ein dynamischeres Profil und reduziert zusätzlich den Auftrieb an der Vorderachse, was die Fahrstabilität bei hohem Tempo weiter erhöht. Die neuen Seitenschweller mit integrierten LED-Leuchten, die bei Dunkelheit ein sichereres Ein- und Aussteigen ermöglichen, lassen den Luxus-Van optisch tiefer und gestreckter wirken.

Im Innenraum legte Brabus richtig los: Größer ist besser und das trifft insbesondere auf den Bildschirm zu, der sich per Knopfdruck aus der Trennwand zu den Vordersitzen ausfahren lässt. Hier handelt es sich um einen 40 Zoll großen Bravia LCD-Fernseher von Sony mit 3D-Technologie. Die 3D-Filme werden von einer PlayStation 3 wiedergegeben, die selbstverständlich auch für Kurzweil in Form des Rennspiels Gran Turismo 5 zum Einsatz kommen kann. Zusätzlich gibt es für den TV-Empfang einen DVBT-Receiver. Der 40 Zoll große Fernseher mit LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung dient außerdem als Hauptmonitor für das an Bord integrierte Computer-System, dessen Herzstück ein Mac Mini von Apple ist. Der leistungsstarke Rechner ist via UMTS und HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) mit dem Internet verbunden und stellt ein drahtloses WiFi- bzw. WLAN-Netzwerk für die Einbindung der anderen Computer im Fahrzeug bereit. Leicht erreichbar integriert sind High-Speed-USB-Anschlüsse, um beispielsweise eine Webcam für Videokonferenzen oder eine Digitalkamera ins System einzubinden.

Größtmöglicher Komfort in einem exklusiven Ambiente ist eine entscheidende Charakteristik des Lounge-Konzepts von Brabus für den neuen Viano. Dafür richteten die Macher den Fond mit zwei elektrisch verstellbaren Komfortsesseln samt elektrisch ausfahrbarer Fußstützen ein. Wie bei Langstreckenflügen in der Business Class ist es möglich, die mit einem weichen bordeauxroten und grauen Leder bezogenen Sitze per Knopfdruck vielfach bis hin zur Schlafposition zu verstellen. Die beiden Spezialsitze trennt eine Mittelkonsole in einer edlen Kombination aus feinem Leder und noblem Edelholz im Yachting-Design, das sich im gesamten Innenraum der Großraumlimousine wiederfindet. Diese Applikationen aus grauem, hochglanzpoliertem Holz mit schwarzen Trennungen wird in aufwendiger Handarbeit hergestellt. In der Mittelkonsole ist nicht nur die Bedieneinheit für die Fond-Klimaanlage, sondern auch eine Docking-Station für die beiden iPads des „iBusiness 3D“-Systems integriert. Dort können sie von außen unsichtbar verstaut und aufgeladen werden. Selbstverständlich gibt es auch ein spezielles „Brabus App“ für das iPad und das iPhone.

Die Tablets übernehmen die Steuerung des kompletten Multimedia-Systems und des aus der Mercedes S-Klasse stammenden Comand-Bordsystems mit allen Funktionen wie Radio, Navigation und Telefon. Während der Fahrt lassen sich die Tablets genauso wie die dazu gehörenden Bluetooth-Tastaturen sicher in exakt passenden Aufnahmen der edlen Brabus-Tische im Fond fixieren. Die von einem hochglänzenden Aluminium-Rahmen eingefassten Tischplatten sind mit Leder Interieur bezogen, stufenlos in der Neigung verstellbar und fahren per Knopfdruck elektrisch aus den Seitenverkleidungen aus. Ein Apple iPod Touch mit 64 Gigabyte bietet ein Musik-Archiv von mehr als 14.000 Songs. Der Ton der verschiedenen Programme wird in Dolby-Surround-Sound in höchster Perfektion über ein für den Viano maßgeschneidertes HiFi-System übertragen. Für das leibliche Wohl an Bord sorgen derweil ein großzügig dimensionierter Kühlschrank, ein beleuchtetes Barfach zwischen den Sitzen und eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine. Die elektrisch versenkbare Trennscheibe zum Fahrerabteil, das selbstverständlich ebenso luxuriös ausgestattet ist, schafft per Knopfdruck die gewünschte Diskretion. Zum Wohlfühlklima im Fond trägt außerdem eine Ambiente-Beleuchtung mit wechselnden Farben bei. Zahlreiche integrierte Ablagefächer bieten eine sichere und auch während der Fahrt jederzeit zugängliche Aufbewahrung des Handgepäcks der Fondpassagiere.

Das hier angebotene Fahrzeug wurde im September 2015 auf seinen bis dato ersten und einzigen Besitzer, die Brabus GmbH in Bottrop zugelassen und seitdem lediglich 450 Kilometer bewegt. In the Brabus Viano iBusiness 3D, the designers combine 3D entertainment technology from Sony with Apple components such as iPad, Mac Mini, iPhone and iPod Touch that control the entire on-board multimedia equipment. Highlight: a huge screen, which also functions as a partition wall behind the front seats. The Brabus Viano iBusiness 3D already looks extravagant from the outside. The front spoiler gives the van a more dynamic profile while reducing the lift on the front axle, which further increases driving stability at high speeds. The new side skirts with integrated LED lights, which make getting in and out of the van safer in the dark, give the luxury van a deeper and more elongated appearance.

Brabus really got going in the interior: bigger is better and this is particularly true for the screen that can be extended from the partition wall behind the front seats at the touch of a button. It is a 40-inch Sony Bravia LED TV with 3D technology. The 3D movies are played on a PlayStation 3, which can of course also be used for playing the racing game Gran Turismo 5. The system is also equipped with a DVBT receiver for TV reception. The 40-inch LED-backlit TV also serves as the main monitor for the on-board computer system, the heart of which is a Mac Mini computer from Apple. The greatest possible comfort in an exclusive ambiance is one of the decisive characteristics of the Brabus lounge concept for the new Viano. For this purpose, the designers equipped the rear compartment with two power comfort chairs with power footrests. Just like in business class on long-haul flights, it is possible to recline the seats, which are upholstered in soft bordeaux red and grey leather, to sleeping position at the touch of a button. Both special seats are separated by a centre console in a tasteful combination of fine leather and especially fine wood in yachting design, which can be found throughout the interior of the van interior. These applications made of grey, highly polished wood with black separations are elaborately handcrafted. The centre console houses not only the control unit for the rear air conditioning system, but also a docking station for the two “iBusiness 3D” system iPads. The iPads are hidden from sight when stored and being charged. Of course there is also a special "Brabus App" for the iPad and the iPhone.

The tablet computers also control the entire multimedia system and all functions of the on-board COMAND system from the Mercedes S-Class, such as radio, navigation and telephone. While driving, the tablet computers and the corresponding Bluetooth keyboards can be securely placed in the precisely fitting recesses of the fine BRABUS tables in the rear. The table tops have a high-gloss aluminium frame and are covered in leather, they are infinitely adjustable to any angle and can be extended electrically from the side panels at the touch of a button. An Apple iPod Touch with 64 gigabytes can store more than 14,000 songs. The sound of the various programs is reproduced in perfect Dolby Surround quality by a hi-fi system custom-built for the Viano. Meanwhile, a generously dimensioned refrigerator, an illuminated bar compartment between the seats and a Nespresso coffee machine provide on-board refreshments. The electrically retractable glass partition behind the driver compartment, which by the way is also luxuriously equipped, provides the right privacy at the push of a button. An ambience lighting system with changing colours also contributes to the feel-good climate in the rear. Numerous integrated storage compartments provide safe storage for rear passengers’ hand luggage, which is accessible even during the journey.

The vehicle on offer here was registered in September 2015 to its first and only owner to date, Brabus GmbH in Bottrop, and has since only been driven 450 kilometres.
