Description

"Introduced in March 1954, the Triumph T20 Tiger Cub was a snip at £127, a little over half the price of its big brother, the 650cc Triumph 6T Thunderbird. This attractive four stroke 199cc bike with its instantly recognisable exhaust note, was Triumph’s answer to the popular, but smokey, two stroke BSA Bantam. Built at Triumph’s factory in Meriden and with a top speed approaching 70mph, the Cub won many admirers selling over 110,000 units in the 15 years of its production.
You will have to travel far and wide to find a better example of this popular model. This great-looking silver example has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration which was completed in 2016 and it has travelled less than 150 miles since. Contained within the history file are invoices pertaining to the restoration. Our vendor informs us that this bike runs really very well and that the original hand pump can be found under the petrol tank. A fully matching numbers example that is supplied with the V5C registration document and many old MoT test certificates, this example is supplied with a dating certificate and recognised by the Tiger Cub Owners Club with its provenance logged in their archive."
