Description

VAUXHALL VIVA HA DELUXE of 1965

Vehicle registered as historical in Spain. It is one of the most desirable variants of the De Luxe that have 54 PS and a 1057 cc engine. The Viva HA was announced in September 1963 was Vauxhall's first serious step in the compact car market. It was also the first new small car produced by Vauxhall since 1936. It had a front-mounted four-cylinder engine mounted on the front and rear wheel drive. The HA has set new standards in its day for lightweight. Easy controls and a short change of course, light steering and good visibility in all directions and a relatively agile performance. The assembly of the front cross member (steering, suspension and assembly of the engine) of the HA became a very popular item for hot rod manufacturers in the United Kingdom. Due to its simple mechanics and ability to accommodate much larger engines within its vain. The set featured a suspension design of double-wishbone / vertical telescopic shock absorbers in combination with a transverse leaf spring attached to the front cross member in its central position and the entire unit could be removed and adapted to another vehicle. This unit in particular is in a fabulous state of preservation, a perfect car for regularity rallies, due to its reliability, economic maintenance and agility in its driving.
