Description
"That Jaguar's XJS will become a 'bona fide' classic is beyond doubt. Launched in 1975, its twenty one year production life was a testimony to the excellence of its basic design. With all-round independent, coil sprung suspension, power assisted rack and pinion steering and disc brakes, its excellent ride/handling balance was justly praised by the contemporary motoring press. The cabriolet element of the car was often preferred over the straight convertible as it added more torsional rigidity and so increased performance.
This example presented in Crimson with Saville grey leather trim has been treated to TWR body which includes side skirts and spoiler, giving it a more aggressive sporty look to the standard XJS. Accompanying this 3.6 litre example is a good history file with some 13 service stamps and many receipts to provide confidence in the odometer reading. Offered with an MoT test certificate valid until July 2019, this is a desirable XJ-SC with the ability for targa top motoring in the sun or full roof down, wind in your hair motoring."
