Description
The 304 VB8EI, better known as the Furano, entered production in the early 1990s. The Furano was an exclusive vehicle, with a strong personality and a first-rate structure. Like all products from the Rimini-based company, the high level of finish of its components immediately stood out. The fairing was reinforced with carbon-fibre inserts in order to resist the strong stresses imposed by drag at high speeds. The rear mudguard and rear calliper support were also made of carbon fibre. The beating heart of the Furano was its Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup 20-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine, with five-speed transmission. The carburettors were replaced by a sophisticated indirect electronic ignition system, controlled by a specifically mapped electronic control unit.
