Made in Motown – Shinola’s first Turntable is a Detroit delight

Shinola’s ever-expanding empire of Detroit-made products just took a musical turn for the first time, with the limited edition Runwell Turntable…

Made for Motown

Shinola might have teamed up with the famous American turntable maker VPI for its first audio product, but each of the 500 Runwell Turntables will be hand-built at the new Shinola Audio factory within the brand’s flagship Detroit store, in full view of the public. Designed to be easy to use and to satisfy the ‘most discriminating of audiophiles’, the beautifully simple two-speed, belt-driven turntable will cost 2,500 US dollars when it goes on sale later this week. For Motown maniacs, a turntable handmade in Motor City itself might be the most fitting device on which to enjoy the sensual tones of Diana Ross or The Temptations.
