This car was introduced as the Fiat spyder replacement. Under the bonnet in plus of the 1200 engine, Fiat introduced a four cylinder OSCA engine off 1.5 litre and 80 hp. This roadster was manufactured between 1959 and 1966 and was built based on a Pininfarina design. Its delicate lines were adding elegance to its sports design and made it look a bit like a Ferrari 250 P F convertible which made it look even more attractive.
This particular Fiat 1200 offered at the National Stadium auction is vehicle originally sold to the United States. Imported in 2004 and restored in Poland. During its renovation, the current owner decided to go for a set of modifications which changed the car from being a simple and placid convertible car into a real Gran Turismo. The original engine was replaced with a 2L one. The gearbox was also changed. Both elements are from 1977. In the interior Recaro seats replaced the original ones and the radio was changed for modern underpinnings. It was modified by Agenta studio. From the chassis side Bilstein was used and also CROMODORA wheels. The soft top is in perfect shape.
