Model History
Zastava 1100p was a small passenger car manufactured between 1975 and 1983 in the Polish factory of FSO in Warsaw. Its archetype is the original Zastava 1100 made between 1971 and 2003 in Yugoslavia then Serbia. It was built under license on the Fiat 128 basis, and its main differences are located in the design of the rear of the vehicle. From 1973 Zastavas were assembled frim parts brought from Yugoslavia to FSO Zeran. They were recognizable because of their P letter on the backlid – Zastava 1100p – which meant car was made in Poland. As a standard one could find under the bonnet a 1116cc engine of 55 horsepower coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. 58541 cars left the factory.
Model History
Zastava Mediteran offered at the National Stadium Auction is an exceptionnal vehicle, firstly because of its unmolested shape and secondly because of its fully documented history. This car was bought in 1980 in one of Polmozbyt offices and since then spent 35 years in the hands of Polish motoring enthousiasts. Body and interior were refreshed and overhauled by the owner, and are in a perfect state, and ready to go. This Zastava is registered on historic plates.
