Always a sign that the European season has started, Paris Rétromobile proved to be another must-do event. Classic Driver brings you some of the highlights.
Big manufacturer presence is a regular feature of the show. Naturally enough, the French ‘big three’, Renault, Citroën and Peugeot, were all keen to remind discerning visitors of their history, with ex-Le Mans and Monte Carlo rally cars on display.
In the largest central display area they were joined by no less impressive stands from BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.
The dealer areas were dominated by the world-famous names of Hall & Hall, Fiskens and Lukas Huni. In addition, celebrated French Ferrari dealer Charles Pozzi was showing a line-up of classics that included a 365 GTB/4 ‘Daytona’, a Dino and an F50. All with big price-tags.
Elsewhere, visitors enjoyed all the books, automobilia and spare parts for which the event is so famous. And Artcurial conducted a highly successful, 14.6m-euro auction that did not conclude until two o’clock on Saturday morning.
