Editor's Choice: Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 Cabrio

For our Editor’s Choice section, we occasionally choose an unusual or unique machine to exhibit the diverse offerings of the Classic Driver Marketplace – and they don’t come much more extraordinary than this Unimog 406 Convertible.

This mammoth machine is not only capable of traversing almost any terrain while hauling a significant load, but it will also undoubtedly leave your neighbour trumped – and stumped. Even if he’s just pre-ordered a new SL, this particular Mercedes convertible will definitely take the jam out of his doughnut, so to speak.

Of 1975 vintage, the Unimog has been fully restored with extensive documentation of the 3,055-hour project. The clutch is new, the gearbox has been overhauled; and if you’re actually looking to put the behemoth into real-world service, a matching, also-restored trailer is available at extra cost.
