
The winners of this year’s Mille Miglia come from Argentina, the Sieleki and Hervas pairing, second the previous year behind Cané and Galliani. The number 14, suitably a 1923 T23 Brescia, eventually triumphed with a points tally of 13,902. Second was the all-Italian teaming of Vesco and Vesco, starting number 137, in their 1934 Fiat 508 S Coppa. This team also stood on the winner’s podium in 2002, however in third place. In 2003 this place was occupied by another Italian team; Aghem and Conti in a Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 MMS.
