Single California ownership from new, recently serviced and ready for Summer driving enjoyment.2019 Ford GT Carbon Series
VIN: 2FAGP9CW3KH200177Frozen White with Carbon Fiber Stripe Reveal and Silver accent package Carbon Alcantara InteriorAt the turn of the 20th Ford produced a simple but highly efficient production car that would ultimately revolutionize the auto industry. In the coming decades, Ford would go on to develop some of the most amazing performance cars of the century. By the 1960s Ford Motor Company was a major force in racing. Not unlike America’s race to the moon, Ford campaigned with some of the greatest names in motorsports to achieve ground-breaking vehicles of extraordinary performance. In 2003, Ford shocked the performance industry with the all-new GT40 Concept car, the retro-futurist design recounting the 1-2-3 Ford victory at Le Mans over Ferrari. As a celebration of their 100 years of operation, the Ford GT was an appropriate statement celebrating their past. But in 2015, the past took a back seat as Ford looked firmly into the eye of the future, revealing a technological juggernaut of superlative performance, aerodynamic engineering, and sheer audacity, the all-new Ford GT.Marking 50 years since the Ford 1966 trifecta at Le Mans, the 2016 GT was announced at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Having been developed under a cloak of absolute secrecy, only a dozen key engineers and designers were aware of the project. From the start, a significant aspect of the development relied on high-speed aerodynamic efficiency, targeting Le Mans with key measures of surface air management for cooling, braking, downforce, and laminar flows. Using a compact teardrop profile, the design focused on two modules that merged a tapered cabin into a dramatically carved out rear profile. The resultant configuration was so advanced that the rear wheels were suspended outside the internal cockpit with the roofline buttresses structurally connecting the rear of the car to the main fuselage. The tightly packaged engine compartment called for a compact high-performance engine, unleashed by the Ford Raptor team. The result was a 3.5 Liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 with a ground-pounding 647 hp on tap via sophisticated and adaptable engine management mapping. The massive turbos, aluminum intake manifold, custom dry sump lubrication system, a uniquely profiled camshaft, and higher strength rotating and timing drive components all came together to form a unique lightweight engine package. Paired to a Getrag 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (with 6th and 7th gear both overdrive for comfortable highway cruising), the power delivery in any of five driving modes is absolutely breathtaking. 0-60 times happen in a cheek-tightening 2.9 seconds, while quarter mile times of 10.9 seconds and trap speeds of 130 mph reminds anyone that the Ford GT is essentially a street-legal race car.The butterfly doors, massive rear wing, tapered sail panels, and dramatic carbon fiber body lines blend into a unique and fresh design, capturing the essence of the original GT40, yet packed with state-of-the-art technology. The carbon fiber monocoque structure is bolted to alloy front and rear subframes which serve as active stress members for the hydraulically adjustable pushrod suspension system and their mounts. These adjustments allow for spring rate dampening in either Track or Vmax modes and also control a front axle raising and lowering system to accommodate steep ramp angles or road impediments. Braking is managed by massive Brembo ceramic 15.5” discs and six-piston monoblock calipers at front with 14.1” four-piston units at the rear. Every aspect of performance and durability have been packed into this superlative sports car. Even the hydraulic and clutch systems have cooling features and are sealed for life with no required maintenance. And while these mechanical and technical details are impressive, it’s important to remember that the Ford GT is radically different in design, construction, and visual appearance when compared to virtually any other hypercars. Unlike most cars, the wheels on this car are suspended from the roof structure. The internal plumbing travels through the chassis, which also stems from the roofline becoming the dramatic flying buttresses that form the side pods. The open space behind the doors is both aerodynamically advantageous and a design element that is totally unique to the Ford GT.Constructed by Multimatic, experts at race car construction, the Ford GT is both thematically and structurally a racecar for the street. Those built as racecars won Lemans and represented the biggest American effort to do so in recent years. The Ford GT is every bit the pinnacle of technology, capable of performance beyond the skills of most drivers, yet docile for street use. Built in limited quantities of only 250 per year, only 50 of which are Carbon Series, allotments sold out immediately in the first year and have been continually in demand, year after year until production closed in 2023.This stunning 2019 Ford GT was delivered new from the factory and sold by Walnut Creek Ford, Walnut Creek, CA, to the current and only owner who selected the factory specified “600A Carbon Series” option package ($70,000) as well as other premium additional cost options. In total, $91,000.00 in options are listed on the window sticker:Carbon Silver Graphics PackageExterior Carbon Fiber Package - Gloss6-Point Harness AnchorsTitanium Lug NutsTitanium ExhaustSilver Brake CalipersLightweight Alcantara Steering WheelFord GT Outdoor Cover (Blue)Ford GT Indoor Cover (Black)Under current ownership, the car has been serviced at an authorized Ford dealership which includes an oil and filter change and brake fluid flush. Always stored indoors and carefully preserved under singular ownership, this Ford GT is one of 50 Carbon Series cars built in 2019.Today, having covered a mere 2,646.4 miles, this beautiful Ford GT presents in stunning condition with gleaming factory original Frozen White paint cleverly accented with dual carbon fiber stripes, which are revealed as the raw body material. The entire body is covered in clear protective film including the Gorilla glass windshield. The beautifully sculpted body is highlighted with exposed glossy finish carbon fiber body trim panels. The gloss black 20” wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 245/35 R20 front and 325/30 R20 rear tires, with all four corners featuring Brembo ceramic disc brakes accented by silver brake calipers. The “Gorilla Glass” windscreen, designed using the same process as durable cell phone screens, is in excellent condition. The lenses, and exterior body trim throughout the car are also in excellent cosmetic condition. There are no chips or scratches in the gorgeous body, particularly along the rocker panels and front fascia. One small chip is visible on the underside edge of the lower air dam. At the rear of the car, the active wing, adjustable for increased airflow management, spreads out across the entire rear of the car, but has been thoughtfully raised above the resting position to prevent any paint or surface abrasions while in use. The twin rear exhaust and hollowed taillights put a fantastic rear signature on this authoritative and unforgettable view.Stepping up to the driver’s door, the latch is easily accessed as the door swings upward in butterfly configuration, revealing the distinctive interior. The stepped-in tub not only illustrates the dramatic cockpit configuration, it shows the tight relationship between the structure and exterior design. The ebony black interior immediately displays beautiful Alcantara and carbon fiber finishes throughout including smooth and supple contoured seats, expansive dashboard, and digital information console, all beautifully finished with fine materials and careful craftsmanship. As the driver's seat position was optimized using a fixed location, both the steering wheel and pedals are adjustable. The Alcantara wrapped steering wheel houses the major driving and entertainment controls, echoing developments found in race cars that maximize driver control during high speed, split-second decision making. Paddle shifters are located directly behind the steering wheel for quick shifting action from the 7-speed gearbox. The digital information binnacle resides directly in view, offering multiple digital screen settings for a range of driving conditions.Visible through the rear engine glass, the amazing twin-turbocharged engine features excellent finishes and essentially presents as new. Unlike the previous Ford GT, the majority of engine, suspension, and mechanical components are seamlessly integrated into a carefully designed aerodynamic skin that limits air turbulence at high speeds. A small storage area is offered at the rear of the engine. Lifting the small hinged front section reveals a clean and meticulously maintained mechanical area showing factory fresh finishes and receptacles for fluid management. The underside of the car is further representative of factory delivered cosmetic and structural condition with all carbon fiber belly panels in place and virtually no evidence of road wear. The car starts immediately, setting off a torrent of energy that resonates through your core. Seating position is excellent, offering great forward visibility and side views of remarkable expanse. While the rear of the car is wide and might feel challenging to manage, rear visibility is quite good and seating position ideal for even long drivers. But the big excitement of course comes when you can put all this advanced engineering to the test. Acceleration is phenomenally strong yet surprisingly street-friendly even at slower speeds. Though agile and comfortable in traffic, the joy of driving this Ford GT comes on strong, covering an open stretch of highway to showcase the tremendous performance and engineering refinement Ford packed into such a responsive car. Power comes on instantly as the car jumps to speed and launches you forward. Cornering and braking are simply magical, and yet, all this race-bred performance still yields a very usable road car. This rare and amazing Ford GT comes with numerous factory ownership items including indoor and outdoor Ford GT car covers, the owner’s manual package, a battery tender, paper license plates, a second license plate, tow hook, window sticker and Ford branded holder, Ford GT Order Kit, Carbon Series medallion, the original dealer purchase invoice and Ford order preference sheet, Walnut Creek Ford letter of agreement to purchase the car (dated January 25, 2017), service invoice, and copies of photos of this car as it was being assembled at the factory, and two keys. With a limited run of just 50 Carbon Series models built in 2019 and Ford having ceased production of the Ford GT in 2023, this 2019 Ford GT offers a unique opportunity for immediate and enjoyable use. Rare and superlative in every respect, this Ford GT is a wonderful example of one of the most sought-after collectible hypercars. Today, a modern icon of performance history, the Ford GT embodies the pinnacle of sports car performance offering the finest in contemporary motorsports technology.
