On Diatto type 20S chassis and mechanics, here is the interpretation of the Schieppati body, built in 1924. The more you admire it, the more you discover its balanced lines, its harmonious and slender mass. With chassis 20769 and engine 20745, this example was rediscovered in the sixties by the well-known collectors Edoardo and Luigi Fittipaldi, distant relatives of the driver Emerson. They are the ones who have an accurate restoration carried out, thanks to the precious advice of Ernesto Maserati and the heirs of the Milanese coachbuilder Augusto Schieppati, Renato and Augusto. The newly restored car, on June 2, 1970, took part in the “XI Coppa Monza”, won several elegance competitions, including the “La Manovella” and Martini&Rossi Cups, and was admired at the Rome Motor Show in April 1972. After more than forty years, the Diatto Schieppati changed owners but did not change its appearance or characteristics.
