Following Daimler's successful reintroduction of the Maybach marque through its S-Class sedan lineup, the company expanded the ultra-luxury designation to a limited-production convertible. The 2017 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet emerged as the pinnacle of open motoring in the Mercedes range, surpassing even the formidable Mercedes-AMG S 65 Cabriolet.

At the heart of this exceptional model lay AMG's 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine, designated M275.
