Description

SAAC Shelby records show billed to Shelby American on 1 /31/1964. Shipped to Los Angeles on 2/12/1964 aboard the SS Loch Loyal. Invoiced to Dills Motor Company “1 Cobra Ford, Chassis CSX22315 Black / Black $5,195. With first owner Cliff Black of Troy, Ohio it is raced in SCCA B production races in Nelson Ledges and Mid-Ohio. After a series of US owners, it is purchased by Lorne Leible who also owned CSX3011 a factory 427 Competition Cobra. Lorne sends the car to Curt Vogt of Cobra Automotive who comprehensively restored the car to the highest and most competitive level. It is then entered in several historic races including the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.

Comprehensively restored by Cobra expert Curt Vogt’s Cobra Automotive. Complete bare metal restoration of body and paint, bright work, full mechanical rebuild. Resulting in a front running race winning Cobra. Fastest lap in its class at Laguna Seca a few years back. If one wants a potential race winning Cobra 289 with an independent competition car SCCA race history, there is non better. Prepared by the best and proven on the racetrack.
