Description
After more than 20 years of Ferrari placing the engine in the middle of its 12-cylinder flagship cars, the debut of the 550 Maranello in 1996 marked a return to the brand’s classic front-engine layout. The 550 Maranello was followed by the 575M, which was a thorough revision of the 550 rather than an entirely new car. Some changes include revised aerodynamics, increased engine displacement, and a state-of-the-art, six-speed F1 paddle-shift gearbox.
This 2002 Ferrari 575M is an exceptionally original, early production example that showed just 267 km (165 miles) at the time of cataloguing. Finished in traditional Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) over a Black leather interior, this 575M was sold new through authorized dealer Ferrari of Ontario in Canada and has been preserved by just two owners since. The car appears to be in virtually as-new condition throughout, with original assembly line markings still visible under the hood. To complement the stunning condition of the car, it was optioned with several desirable factory features, including carbon fiber racing seats, an F1-style paddle-shift gearbox, Scuderia shields, fire extinguisher, and yellow-painted brake calipers. Significantly, the Ferrari is accompanied by its original handbooks and tool kit, as well as car, seat, and steering wheel covers.
Recently serviced and offered in outstanding original condition, this 575M represents a unique opportunity to acquire what is effectively a new car more than 20 years after its production.
