Description
-Anthracite Grey with Black interior, Black rubber mats, Inline 6-Cylinder engine, 4-Speed automatic transmission, restored with upgrades.
The Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser has become an icon of all-wheel drive and all-terrain vehicles. Toyota first developed the original BJ Series in the early 1950s as this type of all-wheel drive utility vehicles were needed for the U.S. Military stationed in Japan. Beginning in 1954, the Land Cruiser nameplate was first used starting with the Series 20 and then the Series 40 in 1960. U.S. imports began in 1963, quickly becoming Toyotas best-sellers in the U.S. during the mid-1960s. Land Cruisers were offered in various wheelbases along with many styles, including a pickup and hard and soft top configuration. Toyotas have long been known for their reliability and durability.
This FJ45 has been restored and further upgraded with a modern 4 speed automatic transmission, Sport bucket seats, 4 point seat belts, Modern Toyota 18" Aluminum wheels with 255/70-18 Tires and Custom front bumper mounted Warn winch.
Recently serviced throughout, this FJ has benefitted from over $14k of servicing. This has included a new cylinder head, carburetor rebuild, water pump, thermostat, full service tune up and new battery. In absolutely excellent condition throughout, this FJ is ready for immediate use and enjoyment, whether around town or off road adventures such as the Copperstate Overland, a fully-supported on-road/off-road driving adventure open to vintage off-road vehicles...
