THE STORY OF THE ZONDA F
Horacio Pagani honours five-time Formula 1 World Champion Juan Manuel Fangio as a role model and an enduring source of inspiration, describing his precision, rigor, and human and technical sensibility as emblematic of a bygone era. The Argentine played a crucial role in Pagani's journey into the Italian automotive industry, inspiring the planned name of Pagani’s first hypercar, the "Fangio F1", and facilitating a partnership with Mercedes-Benz for engine supply.
Following Fangio's passing in 1995, Pagani renamed the model "Zonda" as a tribute to the Andes winds and later introduced the “Zonda F” in honour of the driver. Combining groundbreaking design and mechanics, the Zonda F emerged as a defining creation of its era, achieving unmatched value appreciation over the past 25 years.
ABOUT THE ZONDA F
The Zonda F embodies a philosophy of lightness, safety, originality, and exceptional performance, inspired by the prototype sportscars that raced during the 1980s and 1990s. Meticulously crafted from premium materials like carbon fibre, titanium, and Inconel, each Zonda F is a unique masterpiece, with every detail documented in a dedicated book.
Its advanced aerodynamics ensure optimal downforce and grip, enabling record-breaking performance, including a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 7:24.44. With a dry weight of just 1,230 kg, the Zonda F accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and exceeds 344 km/h, all while delivering a sound reminiscent of 1990s Formula 1 cars.
Exceptional braking, Bosch-developed ABS, and Hydroforming technology further enhance its capabilities, while the design and craftsmanship offer an unexpected level of comfort for a hypercar. The Nardi steering wheel exemplifies this blend of tradition and innovation, reflecting Horacio Pagani's vision of creating a car that captivates, performs, and delights in every detail.
THE UNIQUENESS OF ZONDA F, NUMBER 16
This 2006 Zonda F Coupé, number 16 of 25, is a masterpiece of bespoke design and craftsmanship. Its exterior boasts the exclusive Bianco Benny colour, which was custom-made for Pagani’s first client, Benny Caiola, in homage to the snowy white of his hair. Glossy, exposed carbon fibre details and red-painted rear light frames enhance its elegance and distinctiveness. The interior is similarly refined, featuring blue leather upholstery, aluminium accents, and a Nardi wooden steering wheel. This mirrors the configuration of Zonda F chassis 76057, part of the Pagani family collection.
Originally delivered in Monaco in December 2006, this vehicle was acquired by its current Danish owner in February 2015. In December 2018, it was fitted with a new clutch and flywheel as documented by an invoice of €23,000. In April 2024, the car returned to Pagani of Copenhagen for comprehensive maintenance costing €10,300. At the time of cataloguing, the odometer shows 8,373 kilometres, and the car comes with its complete dossier, including the owner’s manuals.
Preserving its original specifications, this Zonda F represents the shared vision of Juan Manuel Fangio and Horacio Pagani—a timeless creation now ready to find its next owner.
