Description
To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys' Paris event, 4 - 5 February 2025.
- Numbered 320 out of 500 examples of the astonishing 997-type 911 GT2 RS
- Finished in Carrara White over a black and red interior with roll cage; configured with Clubsport package, ceramic brakes, aluminium doors, and lightweight headlights
- Propelled by a 3.6-litre, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that sends 620 horsepower exclusively to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission
- Acquired by the Curated Collection in April 2015; showed 25,676 kilometres at the time of cataloguing
While the 911 has evolved enormously over the decades, every so often a model comes along with such power and aggression that it revives the "widowmaker" nickname earned by the 930-generation Turbo of the 1970s. The GT2 RS is one such example.
Based on the type-997 platform, a 3.6-litre flat-six boosted by a brace of turbochargers delivered a staggering 620 horsepower (to exceed even the flagship Carrera GT) via a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive only. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h was dispatched in 3.5 seconds while the top speed was rated at 330 km/h.
Of the limited run of 500 cars, offered here is number 320 finished in Carrara White. Configured with a two-tone black and red interior and fitted with a roll cage, this GT2 RS was delivered to Belgium in December 2010 via Penders Porsche, near Liège. The same dealer maintained the car through to 2014 before it joined the Curated Collection in April 2015. The most recent service was completed by Kronos, near Brussels, in May 2022.
Desirably equipped with the Clubsport package, this fearsome GT2 RS is accompanied by its owner’s guides and showed 25,676 kilometres from new at the time of cataloguing. One of the fastest 911s ever, it is perfect for any track enthusiast.
