Handled by famed importer Max Hoffman, this Porsche 356 arrived in New York in July 1960 finished in Silver Metallic over a Red vinyl interior. The accompanying copy of the Kardex data card lists the first owner as Mr Samuel C Hoagland of New Jersey. Subsequently acquired in 1974 by Mr David Ohanian, chassis 88005 was listed in 1986 as having been changed to red over black before he registered the car in Massachusetts in 2003.
Returned to its original colour combination and relocated to Belgium, this Super 90 was sold via marque specialist August SA to The Curated Collection in March 2012. Most recently, an extensive recommissioning was carried out by Porsche Centre Louvain-La-Neuve in November 2022 at a cost of €11,826 (invoices available to view on file). Please note, this car is fitted with an engine that does not show a serial stamp.
This 356 Roadster is complemented by its owner’s guide, service book, plus a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. As a versatile early Porsche, it is ideal for any classic car enthusiast.
