Description
of April 1971 heading to Oberstdorf in the Allgäu. Then painted in white (050G), the noble limousine was equipped with an air conditioning system, steel sliding roof, black leather as well as folding tables and hidden bottle holders for the rear passengers. Little is known about the history of the car while in Germany. The coachwork was obviously restored years ago and repainted in the current dark blue. In 1989, the 600 was imported into Switzerland and registered for the first time on the 6th of April of the same year. Towards the end of 2014, the Mercedes was finally taken over by the vendor and added to his collection. Since then, only around 4’000 kilometres have been covered with this stately saloon, without neglecting regular maintenance though! Among other things, in 2015, the comfort hydraulic system was checked and the hydraulic cylinder of the sliding roof replaced. The control of the air conditioning was overhauled and an original Becker Mexico radio installed. In 2016 the central locking system as well as the electronic air conditioning control were overhauled. In 2017, the power steering was re-sealed and the steering damper replaced. In 2020, the car received new shock absorbers to the front and in 2023 the ignition system was overhauled and the (hydraulic) boot lock overhauled. Receipts for maintenance and revisions exceeding 70’000 francs since 2014 are available. Currently the 600 is in good to very good condition and will be sold with the most recent MOT from July 2023.
