Description
The Lamborghini Jarama is a 2 + 2 seater sports car which, from 1970 was offered as the Jarama 400 GT and from 1972, in a modified version, as the 400 GTS. Changes concerned mostly areas which had been criticised initially. Thus, the 400 GTS now had power steering as well as additional air scoops and vents to reduce engine compartment heat. A different exhaust system increased the engine output by 15 hp and new rims without the classic knockoffs were installed. The Jarama offered, one of 150 examples built, was delivered on the 28th September 1974 to the official importer Marcel Willemin in Geneva and registered for the first time on the 28th of November. Delivered in silver with a black interior, the Lamborghini was repainted to the current red 40 years ago. The history of the car is not known until, in 1995, it was de-registered and finally, at the end of 2013, taken over by the last owner. He added the car to his collection but did not register it but use it occasionally with dealer plates from a friend. The Jarama is in good condition, drives impeccably and the original interior shows a lovely patina which would let us assume that the 56’000 kilometres shown correspond to the actual mileage. The coupé will be handed over to a new owner with a fresh Veteran MOT.
