Description
2008 RENAULT MEGANE RS F1 TEAM R26
Chassis VF1CM2H8637668944
French registration
- Mythical car
- A bygone era
- Numbered series F1 Team R26
- 118,000 km
- Exceptional performance
An evolution of the Mégane RS, the R26 F1 Team appeared at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. More powerful than the standard version, it features a limited-slip front differential. A special livery distinguishes this radical version. Produced in Dieppe, it will keep Alpine's historic factory alive during the brand's long hiatus.
What's more, each model is numbered, guaranteeing a certain exclusivity to the car.
The car we're presenting here was launched on 11 September 2008. It comes in the optional metallic black colour, which was not widely available for this generation.
It now has just under 118,000 km on the clock, which is relatively low for a Mégane R26.
No more Mégane RSs have been produced since Renault Sport ceased production. A rarity with exceptional performance, the R26, like its illustrious sister the R26R, is destined to become a true collector's item, especially with the low mileage it achieves.
