Only 1’006 examples of the pretty Reliant Scimitar GT were completed between 1965 and 1970 and equipped with a variety of engines. Our example, with its three litre Ford Essex V6 engine, 4 speed gearbox and right-hand drive was delivered by Charles Follett Ltd in London and first registered on the 10th October 1968. Apparently, after a number of English owners, the Reliant was imported into Switzerland in 2011 and registered locally. In 2022 the rare Brit was taken over by the vendor and added to his small collection. Lack of space and the desire to buy something else has now led the owner to-part with his car. The fibreglass coach work, similar in design to a Lamborghini 350GT, is in good condition with some paint issues to be addressed. The interior presents beautifully with some signs of use. The 146 horsepower V6 is running correctly and easily handles the empty weight of the coupe of just 1’210 kilos. The last Veteran MOT was completed in July 2024.
