This rare Allard J2X has seen exceptional previous collector ownership. It was originally purchased and owned by well-known Los Angeles radio host, Joe Pine. Mr. Pine then sold to Mr. Sterling Dietz, owner of a citrus orchard in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Thus, this Allard J2X was to become known as the "Citrus Orchard J2X." Staying within the Dietz family, the J2X was handed down to Brian Dietz, the son of Sterling Dietz.

Languishing for many years one of the Dietz barns, but complete and suitable for restoration, this J2X was entrusted to John Harden, Crane Eveland and Chris Cambell – The Vintage Connection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for a complete and thorough concours restoration. It debuted 20 months after the start of its restoration, the J2X was back in California and on the grounds of another citrus orchard for the "Fabulous Fifties Association" gala at the Bothwell Ranch, a yearly gathering of an informal group whose membership is a who's who of racers, owner's and crew from that era.

The most recent owner of this Allard J2X purchased it from Brian Dietz in 2016. It was then used and enjoyed almost immediately on that years California Mille. Since, it has been housed in a superb collection here on Long Island, New York. This J2X has been cared for when and where needed by the in-house mechanical staff, used and enjoyed as well as shown at various concours events.

Once behind the wheel, this is without a doubt one of the most visceral motorcars with wind in the face and one realizes why they were such potent and enjoyable road and race cars.

Eligible for many motoring and rally events around the world, this Allard is ready for immediate enjoyment or show.
