In its debut, the 996 featured the most significant changes to the Carrera model since its 1963 introduction, namely the water-cooled engine replacing the previously air-cooled unit. Other changes included a sleeker body with a more steeply raked windshield and a redesigned interior. The performance characteristics remained superb with reliability at its core. This Carrera 4S is the ultimate incarnation of Porsche's 996 with the more desirable 3.6 litre engine and looks to match.

This desirable and well maintained example of the Carrera 4S boasts just 35,850 miles from new, first registered on the 12th December 2003 costing £71,184 the car was specified with £5,163 of options including PCM with telephone module, electric sunroof, Bose sound system, rear console in body colour, Cruise control, heated seats and stainless steel door sills. Presented in Artic Silver with black leather, this car presents very much as a low mileage pampered example with very few blemishes to be found, the caliper's are resplendent in their bright red colour and all electrics working as they should upon inspection. Having just one former keeper, this incredibly capable sports car is equally adept on the morning commute as it is racing through the A roads. The car has been maintained by Porsche main dealers Guildford and West London until 2018, when care transferred to Synergy Supercars, who have serviced this example three further times including most recently in May of this year, which was a major service with replacement of spark plugs. A fantastically presented example of one of the most desirable models in the 996 range, with comprehensive service history, and ready to enjoy.
