Description

Chassis No. 9111300634

Engine No. 6310960

On 3 January 1971, Holbert's Porsche-Audi of Pennsylvania delivered a striking 1971 Porsche 911S finished in Burgundy Red with Black Leatherette upholstery with an optional retractable antenna on the left front fender. Since then, previous owners have personalized this 911 S Coupe while preserving many original features and charm. The exterior was refinished in period-correct Light Yellow. Inside, Recaro sport seats and a later-era Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio enhance both comforts while remaining true to the car's form, and what appears to be the original carpeting and headliner.

Recently, the 911 underwent extensive mechanical refurbishment performed at DriverSource in Houston, Texas. This recent work included a rigorous 100-point inspection, replacement of fluids and filters, and a rebuild of the 911 S's fuel injection pump. Additionally, other essential components were refurbished such as the battery, spark plugs, and new brake discs, while the ATE brake calipers were rebuilt by Karps Power Brake. The suspension was completely overhauled with new Koni shock absorbers and bushings, ensuring a smooth and responsive driving experience. After completion of this extensive work, the 911 S's capabilities were tested and proven during its participation in the demanding 2024 Texas Hill Country Rallye, covering over 900 miles.

Accompanying the 911 S are its original owner's manual, maintenance record book, and other original paperwork housed in a vinyl folio, a combination of period documentation that speaks to its history and careful presentation. From its original purchase to its recent mechanical refurbishment, this 1971 Porsche 911 S Coupe, retaining its matching-numbers 2.2-liter flat-six with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, is a prime example of a cherished collector's piece. It combines authenticity with enhanced drivability for discerning enthusiasts and collectors alike.
