Zum Fahrzeug:

1961 wurde das "Ur-Model" der Modelreihe W111 vorgestellt. 1969 kam schließlich der optisch etwas geänderte Typ mit 2,8 ltr. Motor als "Flachkühlerversion" auf den Markt. Dieses Model wurde auf Wunsch gegen Aufpreis mit dem völlig neu entwickelten 3,5 l V8-Motor angeboten. Nur 3.270 Exemplare wurden gefertigt. Diese Modelle waren die letzten weitgehend per Hand gefertigten Mercedes Benz. Daher war der Preis der Coupés nahezu doppelt so hoch wie der, der Limousinen.

Im Oktober 1977 erwarb der derzeitige Besitzer das Fahrzeug aus 1. Hand! Der originale “Pappdeckelbrief” nebst vielen weiteren Unterlagen liegt vor. Die Servicegeschichte sowie ausgeführte Restaurationsarbeiten sind nachvollziehbar. Insgesamt ist das Fahrzeug aussergewöhnlich gut dokumentiert. Eine seltene Gelegenheit, ein 3,5 ltr. SE Coupé in einem sehr ansprechenden Zustand und eleganter Farbgebung zu einem sehr interessanten Kaufpreis zu erwerben

About the car:

The ‘original model’ of the W111 series was introduced in 1961. In 1969, the model with the 2.8-litre engine was launched on the market as a ‘flat cooler version’ with a slightly different appearance. This model was also offered with the completely newly developed 3.5 litre V8 engine on request and at extra cost. Only 3,270 units were produced. These models were the last largely hand-built Mercedes, which is why the price of the coupés is almost twice as high as that of the saloons.

In October 1977, the current owner acquired the vehicle from his first owner. The original "registration booklet" and many other documents are available. The service history can be traced in detail along with the restoration work carried out. Overall, the vehicle is exceptionally well documented. A rare opportunity to acquire a 3.5 litre SE Coupé in a very attractive condition and elegant colour scheme at a very interesting purchase price!
