Story

In 1997, the Mini Cooper was already a well-known and beloved car, but the new Mini MPI Sportspack took things to a whole new level.

This limited-edition version of the car boasted a range of features and improvements that made it even more desirable to car enthusiasts.

One of the key changes in the Mini MPI Sportspack was the addition of wider 6" wheels and sporty 165/60 tires, which gave the car a more aggressive and athletic stance.

The Sportspack also included wider wheel arches and a new front grille design, which added to the car's overall sporty aesthetic.

Under the hood, the Mini MPI Sportspack featured a 1.3-liter fuel-injected engine that produced 63 horsepower and 72 lb-ft of torque.

This might not seem like a lot of power by today's standards, but in 1997, it was more than enough to make the Mini MPI Sportspack a fun and nimble car to drive.

Inside, the Mini MPI Sportspack boasted a number of upgrades as well.

The car's seats were trimmed in leather, and the dashboard featured wood. The car also included a premium sound system with a CD player, which was a rarity in cars at that time.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the Mini MPI Sportspack, however, was its handling.

Thanks to a sport-tuned suspension and stiffened front subframe, the car was incredibly agile and responsive.

This made it a joy to drive on winding roads or in tight urban environments.

Overall, the Mini MPI Sportspack was a true gem of a car.

Its combination of sporty styling, upgraded features, and agile handling made it an instant classic among car enthusiasts.

Today, it remains a sought-after collector's item for those who appreciate the unique charm and personality of the Mini Cooper.
