EXTERIOR
This final year production (1998) 993 Turbo is in pristine condition and is a wonderful example of one of Porsche’s most beautiful models; a fitting end to the era of air-cooled 911s. Presented in the ever popular Arctic Silver Metallic this Turbo has clearly been looked after exceptionally well over it’s 30k miles. Headlights remain crack and moisture free while the wide arches, so often a target for debris, are in lovely condition.

The genuine ‘Turbo S’ aero kit rear wing and sleek, integrated front spoiler with three distinct air intakes distinguish it from the standard Carrera to hint at the considerable performance while elevating the aesthetics over the regular Turbo.

INTERIOR
A classic contrast to the silver exterior, this Turbo is upholstered in Midnight Blue leather which spans the doors, dashboard and wonderfully supportive heated sports seats. The condition of the interior is superb throughout with optional extras and subtle upgrades such as the three spoke steering wheel, sunroof, AC and modern ‘classic look’ Bluetooth Blaupunkt stereo which provide all the refinements necessary for this legendary 993.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
In fine mechanical health the engine fires into life with the familiar air-cooled bark and settles into to a smooth idle. The engine compartment and underside are notably clean, leaving no doubt that this example has been very well maintained and stored throughout its life.

With 17 stamps in the service book, and over £15k spent recently on reconditioned turbos, oil line check valve kit and cam cover gaskets, the engine and suspension is in near perfect condition. Currently sitting on Koni Active shocks with H&R springs, a popular upgrade with the wider 993 community, alongside a rebuilt gearbox and differential this Turbo performs beautifully on road due to this.

Further improvements to the handling and dynamics include a current rear wheel drive only setup allowing a vast amount of weight to be removed from the car similar to its GT2 sibling. All original parts for this, including suspension are available and included.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unmarked 18 inch 5 Spoke Turbo alloys are wrapped in Porsche N rated Pirelli tyres with plenty of tread.

The alloys barely cover the large 4 pot red Brembo calipers lurking behind and clamped onto drilled discs; showing with plenty of material and offering excellent stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by JCT 600 Leeds in February of 1998, and believed to be 1 of just 31 Turbo’s sold in the UK in it’s final production year, the original bill of sale is present in the history file alongside all invoicing from new.
